CRIMES FOR ROSES
Faces, eyes, hands
Feet that walk
No, run. No, walk
So indecisively strolling
Through their incoherent lives.

Ever stopped to smell the roses?

Sat there, a steel bench
Numbing my thighs
Withering flowers in my mind
Frozen gazes as the Iminahurrys
Rush past to their important
Engagements.

You missed spring yet again.

Life got so busy, as I sat
All alone on that park bench
Watching the world
Pass me by without a backward glance
Listening to the blasting of the music
In my deranged mind
And the whispers of thoughts
Missing the scent of white roses

Can we really all be that innocent
If we are guilty of not living?
Ever wonder? Hmm. I think maybe I just have too much time on my hands sometimes.

Anyhow, this is just an attempt to combat that dumb writer's block that has attacked me again this week. Grr. Kill it!
