GIRL SCOUT FROM HELL
Living life like a depressing book
--I'm the typical heartbroken, mood-disordered, teenager--
Can sometimes take it's toll.
Afraid to smile for fear of ruining
You image.
Or lack thereof.

Hands ache to touch anothers
But eyes long to see the sights
And your mind can't handle
The truth you know is true
And the truth that is your
Scars.

I really am the epitome of bruises
I display mine like a screwed up
Version of a Girl Scout badge
Then go online to make a difference
Click the button on the Child Hunger Site
Knowing I won't be remembered for my
Additions to humanity
Like anyone would listen to a cutter anyway

The attention grabber isn't the way I smile
It's gotta be the way that I try to cover my arms
With black sweatshirts in ninety degree weather
And trot around wanting everyone's eyes on me
Apparently.
Darkness closing in on you doesn't feel so pleasant, huh?
You think you know.
HAH.

Cruel laughter turned against the wind
Blocks the insults of your other self
The voices fly in one ear
Mess up a few brain cells
Then fly out the other--
Making sure to scratch the inside
of your dense skull with iron wings

So go on pretending that you're too far to get help
That you have to
Scratch scrape cut gouge
To live. To make art. To write.
You revel in your psychosis of mental instability
And laugh at the face in the mirror through barbed tears

Hide yourself in a box of glass and saran wrap
To help boost the economy
While making an image of blood and pain
With a dumb grin.
I really was a Girl Scout. First through the fourth grade.
I quit when I had to do a fashion badge and found out that their definition of a camping trip was setting up a tent in the troop leaders backyard and watching "Clueless."

And no Girl Scout Cookies aren't made from real Scouts.
They'd be too caked with makeup to taste good.

your words bomb out in front of my eyes. And make me see such beauty.
